Course Instructors

Katy Mackey, MS, OTR/L

Katy received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from California State University Dominguez Hills in 2009. She has worked as a school-based occupational therapist since 2011. She is currently a Lead Therapist and Clinical Advising Therapist for the Advancing Children’s Educational Success (ACES) program for Los Angeles Unified School District. Previously, she worked as an occupational therapist for Masada Homes with adolescents and transition aged youth. She served as the Camp Director for the Society for Disabled Children in Bakersfield, California during the summers of July 2009-2012 for their residential camp for children and teens with mild to moderate disabilities, in addition to a total of 10 years of service to the Society for Disabled Children in other capacities. Furthermore, Katy has guest-lectured on numerous occasions for Masters-level students in the content areas of assistive technology, activity analysis across the lifespan, and use of sensory strategies for adolescent and transition aged youth.

Molly van Dams, MS, OTR/L

Molly is an Occupational Therapist at Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) with seven years of experience working primarily with students with moderate to severe disabilities. She is a Clinical Advising Therapist in Assistive Technology for LAUSD and has developed multiple in-service trainings for the district’s staff of over 200 OTs, as well as presenting a Masters-level guest lecture on the OT’s role in Assistive Technology service provision. She is passionate about promoting participation for students with complex needs through collaboration with families, teachers, and other service providers.

Instructional Methods

Live Webinars include presenter and participant interaction. Multimedia formats are used during instruction including a live video feed of instructor, PowerPoint, supplemental videos, interactive polls, and/or chat discussion.


On-demand courses include video and audio recordings of live webinars with multimedia formats described above.

Assessment of Learning Outcomes

Learner outcomes are assessed through the CE post-test for live, on-demand, and self-paced learning modules. Post-test questions are based on learning outcomes listed in the course descriptions. 

Course Completion Requirements

1. Record of attendance (recorded automatically by webinar system).

2. Verification of learner identity (attestation statement on post-test).

3. Successful completion of the post-test (≥ 70%)

4. Completion of CE Course Evaluation with brief reflection on application of knowledge.

Cancellation Policy

Policy and Procedures for Activity Cancellation by TelehealthShare

Live webinar trainings may be canceled by TelehealthShare LLC if no more than 5 registrations have been received 24 hours prior to the training or when a speaker emergency arises. Refund for the full amount paid will be credited to accounts within 24 hours of cancellation. Learners will be notified by email before the training start time. Learners must reply to verify receipt of the email notifications.

Learners may cancel their registration up until the start time of the training. Refunds will be issued following the guidelines outlined for TelehealthShare cancellations listed above.
